Christmas is upon us and according to the Australia Post email below, it is now too late to post parcels to receive before Christmas, and with Covid-19, Australia Post is already stressed with delayed deliveries in most destinations due to reduced capacity, limited flights and increased parcel volumes.
We received an email on 28th October 2021 from Australia Post re Domestic Last Lodgement Dates for Delivery before Christmas. This means we need to receive your orders well before these dates to pack and lodge as we feel that these dates are a little ambitious as deliveries in the past few months have been less than anticipated.

Domestic and International last lodgement dates for Christmas delivery
Dear Don,
In the lead up to the traditionally busy peak period, I’d like to share our last domestic lodgement dates for deliveries in time for Christmas. I encourage you to use these dates to set delivery expectations with your customers early.
Christmas lodgement dates for deliveries within Australia
We are recommending all items are lodged by the following dates for delivery within Australia by Christmas*:
• Parcel Post – 13 December 2021
• Express Post – 20 December 2021
• StarTrack Premium – 20 December 2021
* Excludes to and from Perth and Darwin.

Christmas lodgement dates for sending overseas
You can find the last lodgement dates for all our international destinations listed on our website.
For both domestic and international, items sent after these dates will be delivered as quickly as possible, but they may not arrive until after Christmas.
